Hurricane

To be in the eye of the hurricane. And during hurricane season. Let me tell you, it’s an interesting point of view. To see your world break to pieces with the gusting winds and the pouring rain on our thin layer of skin. Waking up and being in a different place than you were when you last closed your eyes.

To look around and not recognize your own home anymore. There’s no safety like there was. Pieces have fallen and are irreplaceable.

You gather remnants of what you can find .. and with your life in the hands of the wicked winds and nature’s decisions , you stumble towards anything or anyone who can make you forget that you places your home in the middle of the ocean, and have no one to blame but yourself.

Nevertheless , you jump in the water and float where the tides take you.

Hoping for safety, but always prepared for the Unknown.

With no solid ground around you, what else is there …

Who else can build a raft but you.
